Robert
Winsor MBE organised his first celebrity charity golf event in
1980, this was his 15th charity golf tournament - 8 in the U.K. and this
was his 7th in Mallorca. 1,216,650 euros has been raised and has
been used to buy much needed necessities for disadvantaged children, details of
items bought can be seen if you click on the link on this page. In 2002 Robert
was made a honorary life member of Royal Bendinat Golf Club for his work
for handicapped and underprivileged children in Mallorca, he was also made a
honorary life member of Santa Ponsa Country Club for the same reason. On
11th June 2005 Robert was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday
Honours list for services to handicapped and disadvantaged children in
Mallorca.

Alan Ball M.B.E.
Alan Ball was just 21 years old when he ran the Germans into the ground during the 1966 World Cup final. Sir Alf Ramsey famously said the midfield terrier had "covered every blade of grass" that famous afternoon at Wembley, and he went onto win 72 England caps - his final match coming in a 5-1 victory against Scotland in 1975. Duggie Brown Granada Television's series "The Comedians" established Duggie Brown as a national entertainment figure, although he was already well known throughout the UK with his successful cabaret act. .In the early seventies, Duggie moved into the drama field, beginning with an appearance in the film "Kes". Numerous roles followed including "Another Sunday and Sweet FA", "Rank and File", "The Price of Coal," and "The Hard Word" for ITV. He was then to star in the Shelagh Delaney BBC Series "The House That Jack Built" followed by the BBC detective series "The Enigma Files". Moving back to Granada TV in 1980, he starred in the situation comedies ”Take My Wife" and "The Glamour Girls". He was also the "Captain" of the Saturday morning children's series "The Mersey Pirate". Duggie has recently appeared in a few episodes of Coronation Street playing Honor Blackman's husband. Karl Howman
Karl is a very talented actor, who will be most remembered for playing 'Jacko', in the brilliant comedy series, "Brush Strokes" (1986). Norman Hunter
A tough competitor and a skilled defender, Hunter spent 16 years at Elland Road and his defensive partnership with Jack Charlton was the foundation for much of Leeds' success in that era. His England career saw him winning 28 caps for his country. In 1973 he was voted the first PFA Player of the Year, so it's clear that he enjoyed the respect and admiration of his fellow professionals, despite his reputation as a hard man. |

John Miles
Best remembered for the rock ballad "Music was my first love," singer John Miles was born April 23, 1949 in Jarrow, England.
